How many times have you dropped the children off at children’s activities so you can enjoy an event? How many times have they sat “mostly” patiently through court? How many odd foods have they eaten at SCA feasts? Well. this event has none of that! This event is all about children enjoying the game with their parents along for the ride. Everything about this event has been tailored to provide maximum fun for the children and youth of Meridies!

Tournaments:

Heavy - In each round 2 child parent teams will compete. Each parent will don an Angry Bird hat and safety goggles, they will then be given a chair to sit in and a small shield. The child from the opposing team will try to knock the bird off with their pool noodle sword before the other child does. The winner will advance in the tourney just like a normal tourney. The child of the winning team will win the first ever "Children's Cloak of Doom." Taller/older children may be required to fight from their knees to make things fair. Once again, no fighter authorization is required to play.

Archery Shoot - will feature Barney eggs and fizzy purple blood, we feel you can’t go wrong with fizzy purple blood.

Bring a friend:

Everything is better when it's shared with a friend. Bring your children's friends along for the fun. All you have to do is bring the 3 forms required by the Kingdom of Meridies. Be sure to have the Medical Authorization for Minors Form notorized.

Morning Snack 9:00 am:

Pop Tarts, donut hole kabobs, boiled eggs, fruit, coffee, juice

Lunch Noon:

Fundraiser with proceeds going to St Jude Children’s hospital. MOCs eat free!

Feast 5:00 pm:

1st remove – Grilled cheese, potato soup, apple slices with caramel
2nd remove – Baked chicken legs, macaroni & cheese, honey butter carrot sticks
3rd remove – Rice crispy castles, dragon cookies (playing with your dessert, while not required, is strongly encouraged.)

Price:

Adults $10.00, Children (over 5-12) $5.00, Children 5 and under free. Non-members add $5.
Make checks payable to SCA Inc./Shire of An Dun Theine. Per kingdom law no family shall pay higher than three adult member prices for admission to an event as long as the children are all under 15 and have memberships. Pre-registration NOT required.

Cumberland Center, 3407 Gillespie Lane, Columbia Tennessee 38401. Take I-65 to Exit 37, then Hwy.50 South/East. After 100 yards turn left onto Joe Reeves Rd. Take the next left onto Luke Moser Rd. Go to Gillespie Road and turn right. The Centre is on the left after the stream.
